Epilepsy Surgery Grand Rounds
Epilepsy Surgery Grand Rounds takes place every Monday year-round (except holidays), from 4:00 – 5:30 PM at Harborview Medical Center, room 3WH-108. Approximately 1/3 of patients with epilepsy have seizures that cannot be controlled with medications. This conference provides a means to educate neurology faculty, residents and other health care professionals as to the indications and rationale for epilepsy surgery. Attendees of this weekly grand rounds should be able to: 1) determine which patients with epilepsy are surgical candidates; 2) determine the best surgical procedure for individual patients; and 3) assess the risks of surgical treatment in individual patients. Light refreshments served.
