Site Expectations

General

Students are expected to spend five days per week at Wyoming Neurologic Associates unless the clinic is closed. On days the clinic is closed there is an on-call neurologist that you should work with.

The best place to park is on the north side of the clinic building in out parking lot.

The dress code for the site is clinic appropriate. White coats encouraged but ties not required.

Dr. Wheeler will explain how to access the clinic EMR on the first day.

Please see the pre-arrival requirements above for information about access to the hospital computer system, and ID badge.

Faculty

During the 4-weeks we hope you have exposure to the entire faculty in our neurology practice.

Name Subspecialty
David Wheeler Epilepsy and general neurology
Oliver Jeffery Epilepsy and general neurology
Rene Mosada General neurology

Dr. Wheeler is the clerkship site director. He will observe student’s performance of the neurological examination within the first two weeks of the rotation, and provide feedback. Hopefully, this will happen in the last 2 weeks, as well, to ensure mastery of the neurological examination. The clinical mini-CEX can be performed with Dr Wheeler. Please tell the site director if you have any specific goals for the month so that your experience is as good as possible.
